    Overall, fun series.

Weaver as the main villain was excellent.

I love Weaver (Aliens is my favorite movie) but the character just didn't work for me. Her goals were nebulous. Her motivation was vague. And their idea of character development was a brief mention of a dead daughter and the idea that she's so cultured because she's immortal.

A nice wrap to the Iron Fist vs the Hand war, though K'un Lun's whereabouts are still not known.

Jessica Jones: still cynical and a bit trashy in terms of personality but at least she seems to be getting over that.

Well I think we're supposed to root for her because she's trashy. I found her a bit more bearable here than in her own series.

    Quote:
Luke Cage: out of jail, his time served/name cleared. Wants to help Harlem, hates fighting but is still good at it. Nice to see that despite him being so invulnerable that some well placed martial arts hits can cause him some trouble. Also quite fun to see the Iron Fist make such an impact on him \:\)

Iron Fist: Danny evolves a bit as a character but is still naive and thick as a brick at times.

I thought he was better here than in his own series. The worst part about his series were those damn Meachums. I didn't enjoy Luke and Danny's annoying white privilege conversation when Luke took Danny to task for beating up a thief but the rest of their banter I enjoyed.

Daredevil: tried to quit being a super hero but as they say in Godfather 3 "just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back!" He's forced to suit up again, and gets all weepy when he finds out that SHE is back.

Looks like Daredevil season 3 will feature Daredevil's mother.

Good news for American fans...Daredevil season 2 and Jessica Jones season 1 come out on DVD today.

Weaver's goal wasn't that nebulous. She and the rest of the Fingers of the Hand were out of the juice/substance they used to extend their lives. Weaver's body was breaking down due to no more of the substance available as she used the last of it on Elektra.

The substance appears likely to be the marrow from the bones they were collecting at the end.

Weaver wants the plan accelerated as she still wants to live as do the rest of the Fingers of the Hand, but she is the one that is dying while the others are still okay. Accelerating the plan is what inevitably leads to its ruin.

Madame Gao even warned her that accelerating things would be bad and they would be noticed.

Also, if any of the Fingers have survived it would be Gao. We don't know her full power and she knew the clock was ticking on the bombs, she might have escaped after she told the other one that The End was coming.

However, it is safe to say that the majority of the Hand is gone. Some soldiers are likely still around, mainly the ones not in the tunnel, and it is likely that Elektra is still around so she could lead them and rebuild the Hand.

As to IRON FIST....well this series was essentially the continuation of season 1 of his show with the addition of wrapping up loose ends from Daredevil. Jessica and Luke were swept into the story by circumstances.

Season 2 of Iron Fist has been ordered and may it significantly improve over season 1. I didn't hate Season 1 but there IS room for improvement.
