So, THAT's how he got elected Mayor of NYC. And Marvel's excuse for not sharing any pagespace in any of their titles - because in terms of campaigning in-story it would have been ..wait for it.. barely a blip on the radar (senses). Still, that decision is highly questionable, if not inexcusable. Argh
. Otherwise, this chapter was still a good read
. The roles were neatly laid out that they'll be playing for this term of office. Also very neat was the argument/bit about Spider-man throwing a car at Rhino. The part with Hammerhead trying to get into bed with Fisk was a little confusing considering continuity of his loyalty to the current (Black) Cat crimelord.
Hochberg and Nelson didn't vote Fisk in. That arresting "Lady Detective" (sadly not named) probably did.

... except if it is retconned, the Kingpin went to jail multiple times, not only as a white collar delinquent but also as an organized crime instigator.
In the ultimate universe or, at the beginning of his career, the story would have worked ... but not nowadays.
Curiously enough, the story would have totally worked if the new mayor was a pawn of the Kingpin instead, with Fisk financing his campaign.
Not as spectacular but much more efficient ...
