I'd have to ask: What paradox effects? Legends and Flash have been full of stories that should have caused paradox, but didn't. This is one example of poor storytelling. No consistency from episode to episode. Nothing's been thought through.

Understood. But with 2000 years to choose from (destroying the spear at any time would have the same effect) why go back to 1916 into the middle of one of the bloodiest wars in history AND with the Legion of Dumb there? And speaking of paradox...they're already there too!

Ouch \:\)

Well going back to 1916 does seem dumb, but they will probably pull a Star Trek Voyager and have some Legends perish and be replaced by their alternate selves from 1916. ;\)

Yes, there should be some serious time paradoxes occurring in Legends, such as Vixen taken from the past and now she knows her future, but if they return her to the past just as she was taken away then paradox avoided. That's just one example.

Also I bet Steele the Star Spangled knucklehead is actually the father of Vixen's kid and thus grand father to present day Vixen....

Of course if you want to talk Paradoxes of Time Travel, as bad as Legends is for flaunting time travel there is a certain other show that really is a paradox infested tangled web of time travel.....

.....hint: I am NOT speaking of Quantum Leap ;\)
