Yes but RF needs the Spear to change things so that Eddie Thawne remains alive and thus he prevents his existence from being erased which is a major paradox in itself.

Thawne didn't need the spear for that at all. He could have just nipped back to moments before Eddie died and spirited him or the gun away at super speed. All Thawne needed was a few moments more and he would have been home free as I recall.

Also he is still a renegade time traveler via the speed force so the Black Flash monster would still be after him but now he is caged.

Because he's a time remnant. But stopping Eddie's death would have stopped that happening. Remember, Barry was chased by a time wraith too, but isn't any more.

RF cannot just go back and save Eddie from shooting himself as that would also be a massive paradox effect, case in point the singularity/temporal storm that Flash and Firestorm had to deal with.

What temporal storm? There wasn't one, just a small black hole. They use the singularity to open a wormhole to the future. The wormhole closes and the singularity gets out of control. A gravity well, not a time storm.

But, there has been event after event after event on these two shows that SHOULD have caused a paradox to occur, but hasn't. How many times has Barry been back to the night his mother died now? Four? Five? Eddie killing himself should have created a paradox. Thawne killing Barry's mother should have created a paradox. And many more. What difference would one more make? The writers will ignore it anyway, just as they have all the rest.
