    The Terrifics 011 (2019)

Wow. Still coming off as a lite-version of the FF!

Which is why I started buying it in the first place. Marvel wasn't giving us a Fantastic Four comic at the time. (Sadly, the one they're now giving us is not my cup of tea.)

I like the Terrifics better than I've liked the FF in any part of this century. I hope DC doesn't cancel them but I know the book is selling at cancellation levels.

The Dark Universe bond is gone and each of the team have gone off on their own with no reason to stick around. We get to see more of how each member fits in to the current DCU Earth.

Or doesn't fit in, as the case may be.

Plaz. Gotham City. We see his wife and angry, teenage, metahuman son(with the same powers). We are shown how he's been a negligent husband and father from their POV and, yet, still understand and feel sympathy for him.

He wasn't gone from their lives by choice. Some intense melodrama here.

Phan Girl. Bgztl. We see how she no longer fits in with the Royal Family of her home planet and the lengths her queen mother will go to make her fit. It sort of has some Princess Koriandr of Tamaran vibes in the making too.

I sure hope she hightails it quick!

Rex. Metropolis. Along with Sapph and dog, he is trying to adjust to a normal non-superhero lifestyle. He sort of has some Incredibles Movie vibes and Sapph kind of has some unforgiving Angel McDunnagh vibes.

Very Ben Grimm. Which I think he always was.

Mr.T. Multiverse. We see a DC take on the DC Multiverse of Earths all connected by The Bleed and Holt's efforts to chase down Java. He decides to risk remaking inter-reality transport tech (again). He chooses to go this dangerous mission solo. He views cameo snapshot status of a couple of other Earths. He meets up with Dr.Dread (again) at the end, along with the foe's new evil mirror version of The Fantastic FourIncredibles.

Also he meets that other Earth's Mister Terrific - and it's his dead wife's doppelganger! Some intense melodrama here.

This was a okay chapter even though very ordinary. This solid artwork effort always helps even though the Queen's silly fashion sense isn't very memorable for notable imagery this month. Are YOU going to stick around for this team?

Oh definitely. This book is capturing the spirit of how the Fantastic Four used to be, way back when. I will buy this book for the rest of my life if DC will let me and if the writers and artists continue to be ideally suited to the book. But it isn't even selling 20,000 copies. It seems doomed.
