    As for Deadpool #16

The homage-lyricked cover had nothing to do with the story.
The story had nothing to do with the Civil War II banner.

Yup. Fortunately for me, the last thing in the world I wanted was a Civil War II tie-in, so I was thrilled I didn't receive that. But I have to think there must be somebody out there in fandom who bought the comic out of an actual desire for Civil War II high jinks. Disappointment must surely have ensued.

But hey, this is the same comic that published an all-Spanish issue with no translations, so I guess they just don't care about irritating people.

However, it was a pretty good SOLO story. SOLO brought an acceptable amount of fun to the ish. The other Mercs were wallflower duds. Also, we get all the origin details of Deadpool's newfound popularity - due to SOLO's masquerade.

Yup. These elements pleased me.
