I think this book is going to win awards. If you're not boycotting Marvel at the moment, I recommend this comic.

    Quote:
In this issue we get a guest artist, Frazer Irving, who is cut from the same cloth as our regular artist. The book looks painted rather than drawn. The whole purpose of this issue is to give our regular artist a break. So it's filler. Yet I liked it. It's the story of the interstellar journey from the Jailer's world all the way to Earth. There's a stop-off on whatever world Monsteroso comes from. He's a giant monster who first appeared in October 1961, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Here's the Wikipedia entry:
    Monsteroso

    Quote:
Apparently Monsteroso had been a prisoner of the Jailer, which is a chilling thought, as he's only a child. That the Jailer had children in his hellish grip is precisely the reason Crusher Kreel had no regrets when he gave his life to end the horror of that prison.

    Quote:
Other events occurred in this issue but I don't have anything particularly interesting to say about them. By the last page, we've arrived at Earth, and it looks like some fresh new trouble is about to begin.

    Quote:
Oh, and Lockjaw is healed. And the artist gets three demerits for depicting Black Bolt's power beams as emanating from his hands instead of from the gizmo on his brow.

    Quote:
Do you think you might give this book a try? I know the Reverend won't, but maybe someone will. I hope someone does. This book needs to continue for years.

I did read it. And I didn't hate it.

This issue was better than the first six. Black Bolt doesn't speak which was my main complaint with the earlier issues. We see Black Bolt willing to kill people to save himself and this little tag along he's taken under his wing...Black Bolt's all about the moral relativism. And that bit about Black Bolt shooting energy out of his hands was in a dream so I can't even complain about that. And the art was way better. Ditch the regular artist and keep this guy.
