And that was one of the dumbest storylines. At the end, Ben had this Lois Lane moment, where he realizes that anyone he marries would be at risk due to his status as a super-hero. I've always maintained that Ben really missed a good opportunity with Thundra, though I doubt that union would have lasted. Or maybe it would have? They never explored it.

I found that early interplay between Ben and Thundra to be very entertaining. Unfortunately I think she's moved on. Which means, of course, that she will soon be dating Johnny, who would have dated Sue by now if she weren't his sister. I'm surprised Johnny hasn't dated Debbie Green.

I think the last time I read a story with Thundra it was part of the Fall of the Hulks arc. That was a fun event that in that as far as I recall, no other comics were forced to interlock with it. Maybe the Fantastic Four a tiny bit since Doom was part of the Intelligencia.

Now that's a villain group I'd like to see return. It had the Leader, M.O.D.O.K., the Wizard, the Red Ghost and the Mad Thinker. It was shown they were operating on the quiet for years, just like the Illuminati. I don't think either group had knowledge of the existence of the other.

Now that I think about it, Thundra was part of the Squadron Supreme....the group that had one member behead Namor for his actions with the Cabal and the incursions. I think the Squadron came from an Earth that the Cabal destroyed so Earth Prime would survive. Namor eventually got better and is back in action again.
