A power tether? Booooooooo! \:\) If that was the case, Ben would have wasted away during his MTIO adventures or died when he was on weirdworld after the first secret wars.

I think the tether is much longer than the diameter of our planet. Assuming it exists, of course. (Reed and Sue aren't even in our universe so no tether, no matter how long, could span the gap.)

How long was Ben on Weirdworld? Years? If so, then never mind, my guess is wrong. I know Ben has been captured by various extra-terrestrials at various times, but he has never been gone for years, I don't think. But I could easily be wrong.

It is difficult to tell how long Ben was on Battleworld aka Weirdworld. We know he is there from issues 11-22 (May of 84' to May of 85') of The Thing. And I think if we try to factor in actual MU time, he had to have been there for a year at least - possibly much longer depending on how time is interpreted when you are on Battleworld. Ben had massive adventures and explored Battleworld for quite some time, even developing a relationship with one of the many Marvel red-headed love interests that appear - Tarianna. That whole series was a delicious, wacky fun ride! I loved it.

Perhaps someone else can provide a more accurate idea of how long he was gone from earth?
