What are the best stories with the Skrulls? I think that Secret Invasion set out to really do a classic story with them and to make the Skrulls into a major threat, but that didn't really work out. How about the Super Skrull? I quite like the character, and I thought that he was good in Annihilation. He's pretty powerful too, does he still have his powers of hypnosis (Also, how did he get those powers? None of the FF have them.). Thanks.

The Stan Lee ones were good.

But my favorite Skrull storyline was Steve Englehart's (who I usually don't like) story in Silver Surfer #25-31. Roy Thomas's Kree/Skrull war stuff was good.

But by and large most Skrull stories are lame.

Super Skrull has hypnosis for the simplest of reasons. The Skrull scientist who gave him the powers intentionally gave him an extra power the Fantastic Four do not possess.
