Are you just now reading issue #1? Because issue #2 came out yesterday and was a much more adventure type story. We had flashback to a previously unseen incident in college involving a trophy, and a trip to Monster Island. And not a single tear

I was just waiting for Doom to get his. And he did, the Doof.

That flashback image makes me a little confused, it shows Sue with her old Doo, Johnny with the classic lines but Ben pretty much modern. Maybe he couldn't do the lumpy Thing justice.

Either way, I thoroughly enjoyed this issue, the whole Monsters battle for rulership thing was goofy but fun, and lets face facts, Doom didn't 'defeat them', poor Johnny was already out of it from his flames going out (gotta fix that) And Ben wasn't down. But I digress.

The time with Alicia was enjoyable and the reference to Lyja, even if no name was dropped, certainly piqued my Laserfist senses. Had to love the simplicity of Reed's prank, and Doom missing the prize thanks to his complete inability to respect others.

Next issue can't come fast enough.
