First off.. no prize to all the folks (I lost track of whom) that thought Johnny's powers were a result of the FF being broken apart. And lets face facts, if she's right and it seems she is as Ben is missing a step, too, then the only way our favorite heroes can cope is by reuniting.
When Reed was losing his powers way back when it was another ride through a cosmic ray storm that was the viagra to his problem, though, so maybe there's another option. Given the whole Legacy concept here's hoping that MTiO was specifically designed to get the band back together. I know I've stated that the Richards clan seems to have been written to the point where they just can't fit in anymore, but having them in the same Universe wouldn't kill me
Kudos to the Thinker for zapping Doom, although the Earth's core might have been a better destination. Very much looking forward to the All New All Whacked Out Fantastic Four he's putting together.
As for the art, I'm a fan of Schiti's work, love the clean lines and layouts. His Ben is a lot more 'Ringo (RIP) than Cheung but I'll take it over Ron Wilson's 80's work. Heck, I love Kubert but can't stand his version of Ben sometimes. Now if they could get Pelletier back at Marvel..
That last page.. WTF.. is regular not old not alternate reality son of Logan back?
Indeed uncanny that someone here was able to predict the power "tether" concept they used - which I hate, but hopefully it is a unique dimensional situation right now. I'm sure Franklin can fix it in jiffy if necessary.
Agree with you on the story, but can't understand your affinity to Schiti's work. I find it sloppy and inconsistent. Tolerable, but not good enough for MTIO.
One fun thing for FF fans is all the subtle references to things, like the Unlimited Class Wrestling shirt Ben is wearing at one point. It's fun finding the hidden in plain sight stuff.
