Quote:Yeah, the tether thing is odd. So, if they are all in the same Universe, would the REAL (cough, cough, cough) death of a member eventually lead to the loss of powers to the others? Or would real world death just change the transfer methodology.
Unknown. My guess would be, the remaining three FF members would get a fractional power boost, due to the cosmic energy from the dead member transferring to the three of them.
Quote:I like that they are trying to give a comic book logic answer to the impossibles of super hero physics. But at the same time, this can have a lot of questionable ramifications.
One thing to keep in mind is the time element. Reed and Sue have been gone from our universe for a long time. Add that to the space element - I mean, seriously, a whole different universe - and this whole tether question will rarely if ever come up. The fact that it came up at all is a testament to the vast weirdness of the FF. How many other universe hoppers are there? Thor - Doctor Strange - and that's about it.
Quote:Either way, it needs to be fixed. Maybe it's a long way to explain any jobbing Ben has taken since Secret Wars, but from what I heard he was doing pretty well for himself in Guardians. Also, all of Ben's Billions and Johnny's Billions are locked up in the Avengers? Jeez, what're the entrance fees to the A club these days and how is Ms Marvel paying them?
Quote:I'm pretty happy with the Hydro-Man intro, the cover makes sense. All these weeks I thought they were gonna be in some new Pirate overboard adventure!
Quote:Oh, one last thing. Why are all these intelligent people such selfish jerks? From Moon Girl to this gal, what ever happened to appreciative geniuses? I have friends that're NASA scientists and they never treat anyone like that.
