I dunno if I'd go with 'Stall'. Last issue we had a fun romp in subterranea BUT it wasn't the right direction. It threw Doom off as he underestimates his opponents and in the end they found what they wanted, we got a little insight into Reed and Ben's college days and we waited for the next step.
This issue was a fun romp with an Immortal with a unique perspective on life, meanwhile Doom underestimated his opponent and got thrown off (HAHA), the boys looked like they couldn't get what they wanted but found a way to make it work in the end. The answer was reaffirming to them searching for their missing family and now we're waiting for the next step.
Hmm.. more of a spin than a stall.
If you want inconsequential stories look at Captain America (unless it's moved somewhere) and for unappealing art look at Captain America (unless it's been changed).I gave that relaunch 2 issues before I gave up, and I really do love Cap. I have zero concerns with MTiO.
Was it as good as the last two? Maybe not quite. If Cheung was on this would the score be higher? Maybe. But I need to travel to an alternate reality to read that one
One point: 20 years ago this entire story would probably have taken up 10 pages (maybe 12). But that's just the way things are these days.
