I think the following is certaintly true:

Terrifics = DC FF

New Challengers = DC FF also

Sideways = DC Spider-Man

Damage = DC Hulk

I'm unsure about the Immortal Men but suspect they'll have an X-Men vibe, while the Unexpected, I suspect, will have a Defenders (Bronze Age) vibe.

I have all of these on my pull list.

I second the motion for some sort of divine dispensation to discuss the Terrifics and the New Challengers on this board. I think this community will be uniquely interested, as, in my opinion, there is no doubt whatsoever that DC is intentionally taking aim at a vulnerable Marvel in the sweetest of sweet spots, which is Marvel's ridiculous reluctance to publish the comic that marked their emergence into the history of the medium.

I mean, let's face it, I'll be reading the Terrifics and the New Challengers for no other reason than this: I'm an FF fan.

The parallels to the FF, while not as direct as The Incredibles - is STUNNING! Metamorpho speaks almost like he grew up on Yancy Street.

Elastic Man is as troublesome, if not more so, than Johnny in the role of group D-bag. He and Metamorpho seem to have the sibling rivalry going like Johnny and Ben did.

Not sure what Phantom Girls' role will be, to be honest. She's Z-lister amond D-listers and her powers are rather uninteresting.

The art, in true DC fashion, puts Marvel to shame. If DC can do a better FF, then by all means, I'll check it out.
