Johns' Flash run falls into two parts: Pre-Zoom and Post-Zoom. Post-Zoom, at least, is at the same quality as GL has been. (Pre-Zoom, I wasn't buying the book, although I did get the Rogues trade solely for the Captain Cold spotlight issue, which was awesome.) I do recommend any of the trades from Johns' era.
