Quote:I could go on and on about their differences, but why bother? All everyone is seeing is a "man in an armored suit, oh hey that makes him IRON MAN!" And not willing to see the huge amount of differences between each character. Please people, stop looking at the "surface" of each character and look at the "details". The Atom is not a knock off of Iron Man, never was, never will be.
Knight, nobody's saying they're identical, but the simple fact is Marvel's had TREMENDOUS success with Iron Man in films, and now DC has presented on one of their shows (with the intent of moving him to yet another Arrow spin-off) a guy in a metal suit that lets him fly and shoot energy as a weapon.
Whether it was going to be Blue Beetle, or a too-altered version of The Atom, this character IS "Iron Man lite".
That's all everyone is saying, and the facts are there to support it.
No they're not identical. But the basic elements are plainly there.
Sorry, but it's true.
The quickest and easiest way to gave ray not viewed this way is to have him get those shrinking powers as in the comics!
