Go back to approx 6:40 as Jesse leaves her father, Wells 2 calls her Jesse Quick.

*Coughs* Nickname

Perhaps she is adopted by Wells and doesn't know it?

If this is indeed "Jesse Quick", then I really hope this is the case as Jesse is the daughter of Johnny Quick not Harrison Wells.

As to Barry needing to restore Jay's powers and team with him, I have no major problem with that. Barry is faster then Jay but Jay can still give an assist in the fight. Yes Barry is the Flash but he is also a bit of a rookie still.

A fair point. Still, Barry is the hero of the show and he should triumph as one.

As to Reverse Flash in Season 1, the only logical way to stop him since Barry wasn't up to the task was for something to happen to Eddie and the only thing would have been death. They could have tried to shoot RF from behind in that last fight but there is no guarantee that RF wouldn't have dodge or blocked the attacks.

Barry wasn't up to the task because the writers didn't have Barry fast enough or ready enough to face the Reverse Flash when he SHOULD have been by that point. He spent an entire season working on getting faster only to fail in the end. All that work with zero payoff. So, what was the point? So Wells/Thawne could go home? Barry losing to Reverse Flash was a cop out.

as to ZOOM not being human any more, strictly speaking all metas are not "human" anymore but are meta-humans. Everything's relative.

I suppose so. But Zoom is more monstrous than the others. ;\)

Zoom may not be a split from Wells and may be someone else completely, but I am leaving the Wells divided by the particle explosion theory open for now.

Fair enough. But I'm telling you right now, Eddie being Zoom is more of a possibility than Earth-2 Dr. Wells. ;\)

Yes Barry should be able to win on his own against the big bad enemies.

However let's go back to the awesome Batman Beyond series. How long did it take for Terry to start coming into his own and needing less and less help? It took awhile especially every time he fought INQUE he had an assist in stopping her, until the final season as I recall.

Then of course there was how Terry did the math in ROTJ and figured out Drake was tied to the Joker and then how to get under Joker's skin and beat him.

It takes time to build up to be a hero, Barry still holds back a bit in terms of his powers and what he can do. Case in point, he needs to be reminded that if he can hit time warp speeds then he can easily go fast enough to leave after images of himself, which should require less speed then needed to hit time warp \:\)

When was the last time barry tried to phase through anything? Only the one time when RF coached him how so that he could ditch the bomb.

Barry may be wanting to go after Zoom but he isn't really training or practicing. he is just relying on the tech heads of Team Flash and what little skill he has.
