      2. Barry is an idiot and didn’t tell Patty he is the Flash. Let her make her own decision if she wishes to stay, Barry! How arrogant and presumptuous of you to make the choice for her.

I'm gonna disagree with you here. Barry believes he is being noble. If Zoom or any other villain finds out who Barry is and who he loves Patty will have a bullseye on her back. So he decided he'd rather she live a safe life without him.

If this is true, then he should cut everyone out of his life as well because it'd be the "noble" thing to do,. That includes Iris, Joe, Caitlin, Cisco, everyone he cares about and tackle Zoom all on his lonesome. Iris West is just as much as a target as Patty or anyone else Barry cares about on Team Flash. No, Barry was not being noble, he was being an idiot. Period.

Whether or not I agree with him, I really can't fault him for it.

Telling Patty he was the Flash would have allowed Patty to make her own decision and true lovers would face a threat together because that is part of what true love is about. No man is an island.

It seemed that Barry was going to tell her, but then she said she was moving so he felt like there was no point in telling her. But really if he had wanted to tell her he should have because he runs super fast so it wouldn't matter where she lived.

And thus still have a long distance relationship? Those never work. Plus, it would be odd to see considering the actress who plays Patty is moving on to a different show.

And then she found out anyway and was fine with him being the Flash so they could have gotten back together. But he still refused to tell her.

Like I said, he's an idiot. How do you not see this?

And then on the train he confirmed he was the Flash, which is what she wanted, so I still don't understand why they aren't together. Or why they at least don't talk about it.

Like I said, Barry's an idiot.

I also don't understand why the character is leaving the show (which is what I'm assuming is happening) because she is much more likeable then Iris.

It's probably her contract or something. Aside from that, I don't get it either. Patty is what Iris should have been.

It's interesting that a hero/villain performs one amazing feat, or use a power they haven't used for 20+ years, and that automatically propels them to a high status despite scans and evidence to the contrary. I don't know what is worse, selective feat picking that has only been done once or twice 20, or more, years ago or ignoring evidence from scans or the lack thereof. We need to stop putting our favorite heroes/villains on pedestals and start putting them where they really belong. But it's evident that people never will because they would rather accuse others of cherry picking feats, when they don't, and being 'morally superior' when they aren't. I guess being honest and as fair as possible only opens one up to being the target of childish accusations and fault finding by those who insist on acting petty and childish. What happened to a good debate between two civil, mature, adults?
