Am I the only one that is still really confused about the Reverse Flash's origin?
I mean the explanation by Harry was fantastic, but I am still confused about what happened between the Flash and RF in the RF's present.
Flash is still alive in the future and RF is obsessed with him. Somehow he replicates the accident that made Barry the Flash and becomes just like him.
Somehow this drives him crazy or he because crazy later or he was always crazy to begin with.
RF and Flash fight some number of times, but they are evenly matched so RF decides to find out who the Flash is and when he became the Flash and fight him in the past.
Why wasn't it known in the future when the Flash first appeared? Can't he just go to the library? RF said several times "Now I know what time period you're from?" I don't understand why this was difficult to figure out?
And so now RF goes back to his future, but he still doesn't know Barry's secret identity, so unless he finds that out in the future, he will have to come back to the past AGAIN to find out that the Flash is Barry Allen, before he can go back to Barry's childhood and kill his mother. Right?
I don't think Barry is alive centuries from now, but he MAY time warp to the future and stay for awhile.
However there is also the FLASH MUSEUM which likely chronicled many things about the FLASH and his history but did not establish what date the Flash first appeared or who he was.
RF studies teh history of the FLASH, wants to be the FLASH and recreates the conditions that created the FLASH. Then when he time warps the first time he sees that he is supposed to be Barry's greatest foe and I suspect he wasn't a model of mental health in the first place so he becomes Reverse Flash.
