    Quote:

Barry is still determined to help Harry rescue his daughter from the clutches of Zoom and so Team Flash works together and closes all but one portal to Earth-2. In a short conversation with Iris, Barry tries to re-assure her everything is going to be fine and that he has faced danger before. But we the fans know that Zoom is not one to be trifled with and the danger is greater than Barry realizes, he just doesn’t know it yet. Alone and trapped on a world not their own, Barry, Cisco and Harry will have their work cut out for them once they rescue Jesse, IF they rescue Jesse.

    Quote:
Barry actually has an idea for once instead of Cisco or Caitlin and that is to replace his Earth-2 doppleganger to try and find Zoom. In a neat twist, we see Floyd Lawton AKA Deadshot but he’s not the famed assassin in this universe and Barry is married to Iris who is a detective. But the neat part was seeing Killer Frost and Deathstorm. This can only mean trouble for Team Flash.

Barry was the worst this episode. He didn't lift a finger to find Jesse and he got Joe-2 killed and didn't even let Barry-2 go comfort his wife and just stepped in and invaded Iris-2's life. Barry-1 is a creep.

    Quote:
In a very emotional scene that Grant Gustin plays so well, Barry finds that his mother is still alive and well on this Earth. It was touching to see Barry getting to say he loves her and another chance to talk to his Mom. It was a great scene and a moving one.

I was a tad disappointed he didn't make time to go see his mother's double. He didn't have time to see her or save Jesse but he sure did make the time to get Joe-2 killed.

    Quote:
And things start to heat up on Earth-Prime when Geomancer shows up, wanting a fight with the Flash and then it’s revealed that Jay is dying because he tried increasing his speed with Velocity 6. But the world needs the Flash and so it’s a difficult decision to make, an impossible decision really. Take V-6 and speed up his death, save some lives or refuse to take V-6 and end up watching people die that Jay could have saved. What would you do?

He should have just stuck with V8. It's full of vegetable goodness.

And how did Geomancer know Barry's out of town?

    Quote:
If Barry had not traveled to Earth-2 then Joe-2 would still be alive...right? Right. So, it’s partially Barry’s fault for the death of Joe-2. Harry was right, Barry should not have gotten involved. But he had to act the hero and I cannot fault him for that because every hero makes mistakes. But the mistake here I will find fault with is that Barry is here on Earth-2 to help Jesse who is, arguably, in greater danger than anyone Barry cares about and he lost sight of that and it’s only going to bite him in the butt later. Barry needs to learn a hard lesson that he cannot save everyone.

Yeah he got Joe killed because he went off mission which could have gotten Jesse killed. He really screwed up. Not as bad as telling Felicity about Oliver's kid thus indirectly causing Vandal Savage to blow up a city but it's up there.

    Quote:
Reverb was such a great idea for an awesome villain and yet he gets killed all in one episode and without even showing Cisco how to shoot vibrational blasts of energy. But given the context of the story, there was no other end for him but to die. And Zoom killing off Deathstorm like he did will only make Killer Frost turn against Zoom. I can see it now...betrayal. Perhaps in the next episode?

I loved Reverb. I want him to be resurrected. I want him and Killer Frost to take vacations on Earth-1.

    Quote:
What a great episode this was. We got Velocity-7 and Barry got captured by Zoom. How will he be rescued? Stay tuned...

    Quote:
    4 out of 5 stars.

This one had everything but the kitchen sink...I really dug this one flaws and all.

    ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS:

    Quote:
    1. Danielle Panabaker looks GREAT as Killer Frost! Ohhh, now I wanna see her play Earth-Prime Killer Frost!

Captain Cold seduces Caitlin to the dark side!!!

    BLOOPERS/MISTAKES:

    Quote:
    1. Barry has closed all portals but one to Earth-2 and Zoom just let’s him?! Something fishy is going on here.

*cough* Jay.

Seriously who else in the show knows what is going on with Team Flash enough to always be one step ahead of them? Harrison is above suspicion because of Jesse's kidnapping and Wells being the villain is more or less a retread of season 1. Everyone else on Team Flash can be trusted. Jay is the unknown. You could make someone else like Linda or Patty or Earth-2 Henry West be Zoom but none of them get info on what Team Flash is up to. Jay's in the circle of trust and they know next to nothing about him.

    Quote:
    2. Alright, Barry is a metahuman and walks into the joint that Joe-2 sings at and no one’s metahuman detector goes off and yet all of them do when Killer Frost and Deathstorm show up?

Hole in the plot.

    Quote:
    3. I’m sorry but a glass container cannot keep out a man that can simply vibrate through it.

I thought it was weird a stone statue heat could redirect a fireball..

    EASTER EGGS:

    Quote:
    1. When Barry Allen, Harry and Cisco step through the last portal to Earth-2 we see three images. The first looks like an alternate version of Green Arrow, the second is John Wesley Shipp as the Flash and the third is Melissa Benoist’s Supergirl (YEAH!). Shortly after this scene follows another scene of Barry and his two friends going through the portal with three more images. The first two are boring but the third is the most interesting. You’ll have to pause it to see clearly what it is. And it’s a Legion Flight Ring! This proves the Multiverse exists! \:\)

One is Connor Hawke (not William Clayton).

    Quote:
    2. On Earth-2 Barry Allen’s home phone, we see a list of names. Three of them are most interesting and they are Bruce, Hal and Diana. I think it’s pretty obvious who those names belong to. \:\)

I think Bruce, Hal, Diana and Barry are just part of his fantasy football league.

    Quote:
    3. While on the phone with Barry’s Mom, she mentions Atlantis. As we all know, this is the home of Aquaman in the comics. \:\)

Earth-2 sounds so much cooler...they have Atlantis and Gorilla City.

    Quote:
    ZOOM SUSPECTS:

    Quote:
With NO portals to Earth-2, Jay Garrick cannot possibly be Zoom since we clearly saw Zoom on Earth-2! Jay is eliminated as a suspect.

Yeah the portal machine blew up because Jay was operating it. And somehow Geomancer knows Barry is out of town. And we know Jay has a double who could have easily went to Earth-2 before the portals were closed and Jay stayed on Earth-1. Introducing Hunter and not giving us details about him means it's zero problem explaining how Jay can be in two places at once.

    Quote:
Earth-2 Barry Allen is eliminated as a possible suspect for being Zoom. Iris has a watch that can detect Metahumans and hers would have detected her Barry as a metahuman had he been Zoom. Since he is a normal human being, he cannot possibly be Zoom.

Would it? If Zoom were a human who took say Velocity 6 would that show up on a metahuman alert?

    Quote:
Earth-2 Henry Allen is still alive and married to Barry’s Mom. There is simply no way he’s Zoom now. He has been eliminated from the Zoom Suspects list.

I concur. He was my theory before we got clues.

    Quote:
My updated list is as follows:

    Quote:
    1. Hunter Zolomon. It’s possible that Jay’s experiment that gave him his powers also had a side effect and that side effect was creating an evil duplicate of himself named Hunter Zolomon. Jay is powerless while Hunter is not and is forcing Jay to be his inside man with Team Flash. This is a possibility, but Jay himself cannot be Zoom as proven by the latest episode. The evidence is too hard to deny. So, that leaves Hunter being a duplicate of Jay and he shows up in the season 2 opener, spies on Team Flash, figures out who they are and an Earth-2 villain shows up to kill Barry? Suspicious.

Jay found out Hunter had been adopted. So Hunter had to have been born.

I still think Hunter and Jay are in cahoots. They take turns playing Jay and Zoom. One's a metahuman and one only has powers when he uses velocity 6.

Think about it for a second...where did Jay get the velocity formula from in order to be addicted to it in the first place? He must have stolen it from Wells-2. He lied about how he lost his powers to Team Flash. The guy is just not on the up and up. He's secretive, deceptive, disappears for long stretches of time and things go wrong when he's around.

    Quote:
    2. Eddie Thawne is listed as a name on Earth-2 Barry Allen’s phone. He’s alive and well on Earth-2 so it’s possible Eddie is Zoom.

It's also possible Earth-2 Osama Bin Laden is Zoom but as far as we know he doesn't have a motive either.

Only 2 characters from Earth-2 have been fleshed out enough for us to care about their motives...Jay and Harrison. We know Zoom isn't Harrison. We know Zoom isn't one of our usual cast of characters from Earth-1 and they're the only ones besides Jay and Harrison who know enough about Team Flash to be one step ahead of them. So either Zoom is Jay or he's some nut who does everything for no reason.

    Quote:
    3. Force of Nature.

That would be a cop out to a mystery. But it's the CW so I can't discount it...

    Quote:
    4. Earth-2 Fake Wally West.
