I know I'm never going to change your mind, based on past experience, but I need to point out that Jay earlier in the season said Zoom drained him of his speed. It was NOT V-6. If Jay said it was V-6 (and I never heard him state as such in the latest episode), then it's a contradiction based on what was clearly established earlier in the season. It's one or the other not both and I choose to go for what was said earlier. Zoom drained Jay of his speed not V-6.
Quote:No you're not going to change his mind because the episode backs up his point not yours. This episode Jay admitted he lied when he said Zoom drained his powers and that his current story is that his abuse of Velocity Six is what caused him to lose his powers. Now personally I feel this is more proof that the Jay we know is nothing but a liar and this could be just another lie. All we know for sure is that Zoom didn't drain Jay.
After doing some checking to back up your claim here, I can confirm I am in the wrong here. My apologies. Apparently, I must have zoned out when Jay revealed he lost his powers to V-6 (which is really odd considering it was meant to make him faster).
But Jay is far from being nothing but a liar. He did warn Team Flash about Zoom and he was right about that. And so far, there is no cure for Jay's condition and so far he's right about that. He also admitted he was too afraid to fight Zoom sometimes and he's right about that, otherwise Zoom may not be a problem had Jay been the hero he was supposed to be. I can go on and on but you get the point. Jay has his faults but he is far from being nothing but a liar.
It's interesting that a hero/villain performs one amazing feat, or use a power they haven't used for 20+ years, and that automatically propels them to a high status despite scans and evidence to the contrary. I don't know what is worse, selective feat picking that has only been done once or twice 20, or more, years ago or ignoring evidence from scans or the lack thereof. We need to stop putting our favorite heroes/villains on pedestals and start putting them where they really belong. But it's evident that people never will because they would rather accuse others of cherry picking feats, when they don't, and being 'morally superior' when they aren't. I guess being honest and as fair as possible only opens one up to being the target of childish accusations and fault finding by those who insist on acting petty and childish. What happened to a good debate between two civil, mature, adults?
