I don't care what anyone says. He lied. No one, no character, can get erased (twice!) and still, somehow, remain alive. How STUPID does the showrunners think the audience is? No one is going to buy that.

Whoever this Dark Flash is, he's from Earth X trying to throw Barry off his game by claiming he's someone he's obviously not.

It did seem a little...forced. Like for whatever reason he went back to looking like Harrison. It's weird how the two actors keep taking turns playing the role of Eobard.

I mean honestly I would have preferred if they just told us we were dealing with Earth X Eobard (or Earth X Harrison). Resurrecting Eobard after he was killed off in Flash season 1, his time remnant in season 2 and Legends season 2...we don't need to see the real Eobard anymore. Let Barry move past him already.

Of course I do disagree with you. The Showrunners really are stupid enough to think we'll just accept it. They've always made sure to lower our expectations.

Barry should move past Eobard/RF, yes.

However the writers have made sure they are inextricably linked.

RF comes into existence because of the Flash, and vice versa.

If RF is truly erased from time, Barry shouldn't be the Flash, etc etc.

Also the show has shown the future can be changed, Barry goes forward to the future to learn how to beat Savitar, but now that future is altered and likely negated, so with all the alterations and time breaking from the Legends, RF could still exist.

Sad to say.
