Why is that significant? Flash and Legends corrupt the timeline all along.

That headline from season 1 about the crisis was from original timeline Barry's future before Eobard created our Barry by killing his mom in the past. When Eobard created our Barry's tragic origin he pushed our Barry into being the Flash 7 years earlier than in that original timeline.

That headline wasn't about our Barry.
