I'm glad the series will apparently be more grounded. During Johns' run on Green Lantern, the man never seemed to be able to stop going from one blockbuster event to the next without taking a breather. Even Venditti got stuck in that formula to some extent. It's not that I didn't enjoy a lot of what Johns' did (or Venditti), it's just that he didn't believe in taking a break and tell more grounded stories. Even Venditti failed to tell more grounded stories when he told "filler" stories that served to just "be there" before he started his next big event. So Grant Morrison's plans are going to be SUCH a nice breath of fresh air.

I'm definitely going to be picking this up because I know Grant Morrison can deliver on great stories. \^_\^

Your thoughts?

Morrison is very hit or miss with me. Some works of his I love (Animal Man for example), other times I can't stand him (New X-men for one).

The idea is interesting though. I mean, no one elected or appointed the Guardians. They just said they were the peace keepers.

How DOES the jive with other cultures. They usually keep it pretty loose... just saving lives and the like... but who knows.

What happens if a GL sees validity in a cultures complaints at some point?

It is actually something I thought they would have gotten to a lot sooner, but with Kyle.

Kyle spent years as the only GL, no Corps. He was never in the military. Why wouldn't he question the Guardians more? least it is being addressed. I'll give it at least a try, I think.
