I think the question is, if what he did was so repellent that you must entirely disassociate yourself from him, can you still read his work? I mean even if you take his name off the Death/Return of Superman TPB you are still reading his work. Does that bother you (or anyone), do his personal crimes infect the work?

Then there's the legal question, can you reprint his work without giving him credit or paying him royalties legally? Contractually?

It seems to me you have two options. Either keep his work in print, give him credit, put all proceeds to some child-abuse charity (so there's no profit for him to share in) and put a note in the book acknowledging the crime and using it as a teachable moment. Or bury the work. Don't do a half measure.

Well it was only one issue of GL in Death/Return of Superman, so reading it again wouldn't phase me.

Either take his name off, or send any royalties to charity.
