An interesting collection of short stories. Some good, some average.
The Sinestro one was fun.
The Alan Scott one is first of course and was interesting in that it showed him seeking a reason to go on after the train wreck and loss of his friend. Also, this is the actual Alan Scott and not the "shock and awe" version that they made to compete with Marvel's Northstar.
The Hal centric tale was quite humorous, read it and you'll see why
Also Denny O'Neil got one last shot and a GL/GA story.

Only read the Alan Scott story so far. No big surprise that they are going to continue the "Earth-2" series angle and have him be gay. There's no real story here other than as a brief recap of his origin. The conversation he has with his deceased "friend" Jimmy's mother doesn't make much sense. If Jimmy was his lover as implied, how was Alan running away from himself by being on the train with him? If not, then the conversation between him and Jimmy's mother would be incoherent as both of them are basically talking in code about "it" and would have no mutual connection to know what they other is talking about. Ultimately, it was too slight and trying to be coy with the issue other than establishing that they are going to continue with this fundamental change to the character of Alan Scott.
