Last night I read Brother Power, the Geek #2 , a DC comic book series from the Silver Age that lasted only 2 issues. Brother Power was the creation of Joe Simon of Simon & Kirby fame.I remember buying the original first issue in 1968 as a teenager. It was a mixture of super-heroics and the "hippie" culture of the time. I remember that I bought the fist issue of almost every DC adventure title back then (and discarded all of them as I "grew up"). This title did not make a favorable impression on me back then to buy the second issue. Alas, I finally read the second issue last night and enjoyed the parody of the time (1960's) per Joe Simon. Similar to the parody of Fighting American of the 1950's, Brother Power was an enjoyable read. Maybe that was Joe Simon's intention for the future (at least, for me).

From what I've heard, the plans for the character was that he was going to run for President ... in other words the PREZ series was originally going to be the continuation of Brother Power.
