I just saw this cover and loved it. Great Curt Swan art work.

Notice how it says "World's Best Selling Comics Magazine"? That achievement was accomplished with Curt Swan as the artist. The year was 1967. DC had real competition from Marvel. Yet Swan and friends were dominating the market. Wouldn't that inspire any sensible company to publish a Curt Swan omnibus or something? But I guess they figure not enough fans would buy it. Which is sad. For some reason Curt Swan doesn't have the fame of Jack Kirby or John Buscema.





It looks like that Superman issue was on the stands a mere 4 months after this similarly-themed Spider-Man issue. Inspiration?
