That was my first thought, too. It looks like a Marvel cover, specifically, ASM 50. I didn't think to check the dates, though. Good catch.
To AC's point, though, I agree about Curt Swan. He is a great artist but he doesn't have that rock star or founding father reputation. Is Neal Adams the first DC artist to get that type of recognition? From the Silver Age, anyway?
