I remember ads for the Hardy Boys back in the day but I never watched the show. I remember thinking later, weren't the Hardys supposed to be teenagers?

They were younger in the books and previous adaptations, sometimes as young as 12 and 13 I believe.  Cassidy was 18 when cast and I seem to recall his character being 18 as well but I’m not 100% sure.

I can't imagine Lorne Greene as a vampire. That alone might be worth it.

I thought he did a good job, but really he played a Romanian inspector.  It would’ve been very easy for him to turn full vampire, I think, but unfortunately the script didn’t call for it.

I can imagine Paul Williams as one, that guy did a lot of wacky stuff. I still haven't watched "Phantom of the Paradise," but he'll always be Little Enos from "Smokey and the Bandit" to me.

Great character from Smokey and the Bandit.
I couldn’t help but wonder if Williams, or the director, was trying to go for an Alice Cooper vibe with the role (Allison Troy?).  If he was, it didn’t work.
Phantom Of The Paradise is a movie that I always want to like more than I actually do.

I had no idea the Hardy Boys books (and Nancy Drew's) had gone on so long or had been adapted so many times.

I watched the late 60s cartoon once.  It just left me scratching my head.  It was a mess.
