Great image to usher in what would be a great weekend holiday if not for covid.

Were horror comics the only medium that got away with showing kids in such mortal danger? Not that I like seeing kids in danger but one of the things I love about comics is how easily and powerfully they can bring you back to your childhood and when I was a kid I loved scary stuff.

yeah, massive bummer this year. As a kid I always loved it when Halloween fell on a Friday or Saturday.

Good question about the kids in danger. Im trying to think of some horror films from the 50s with kids in them but am drawing a blank. The only thing that comes to mind is Cape Fear from about 1961. The very palpable threat from Max Katy to the daughter Nancy was really pushing things as far as they could go.
