I always appreciated Roy the Boy's love for the Golden Age characters, and, if that meant I read a lot of his World War II stories because of it, then so be it. I never much enjoyed war comics on their own, but throw some superheroes or supernatural threats of time-travel into the fray, and I'm joyfully on board for the ride.

The Invaders is kind of like a "Golden Age" Defenders: a group of heroes who only came together because of the War. Baron Blood, Union Jack, Master Man and U-Man are great characters in my book
