"Sakaar Is Twice The Size of Earth" - I see this statement bandied about on numerous boards but have been unable to find a provable source in-print... Is the statement true or myth?

this is how comicdom exists - as myths and legends taking shape in characters and stories.
I posted this on the battleboard and I believe it is as appropriate here as there:
I live in San Jose, about 15 miles as the crow flies from where the Loma Prieta earthquake occurred. Everyday we have a few quakes, but most are so small as to be unnoticeable to anyone. But when we do get a good shake, it scares the hell out of me. For someone to cause tectonic plates to break apart takes tremendous power. For someone to be able to pull those plates back together would take power on such a level that it would be beyond human comprehension. What the comic showed was such a feat.
