Quote:Similar to an idea I posted a few yrs back.
Quote:Its also like when Grey Gargoyle stoned Bruce. Then at night Hulk still changed. Its going back to an idea that no matter the state of Bruce Banner (alive, dead, glass or stone etc...) at night Hulk will come.
Quote:As a fan of the Jones run, I think this will be more towards what I was expecting that run to be. Ewing is a student of continuity and a fan of the Hulk. He seems to have a clear plan of what each character’s purpose should be.
Quote:I like that the book will function separately from the main uni for awhile. I hope that Hulk doesn’t appear outside this book for awhile too.
Quote:Sasquatch/Walter Langkowski, with his ties to Bruce’s past, could be an excellent supporting player. Hulk annual 8 one of my favorite annuals ever.
Quote:Joe Bennett had me at Bernie Wrightson. If JB can come close to evoking BW vibe then I’ll be in ecstatic... and a real Enthusiast of this run.
Second: we think about the same here, Eric. The first thing that came to my head was what happened to Grey Hulk in his fight against Grey Gargoyle.
Everything Ewing said makes me excited: big, long term plans, a new dynamic,a self- contained book (Hulk is, at his bet, better alone, with small interactions with the MU). Bennett's Bernie Wrightson (I'm still frustrated we never got that Hulk story Bernie wanted to do...) approach and sasquatch are the cherry on the top.
Btw, Hulk Annual 8 is my favorite ever.
