HULK is legitimately confused and sad over what happened and is apologizing over and over.

So, did Leader/Rick save those townfolk? Some psychological strategy or strike at Hulk?

    Quote:
Sadly, Gamma Flight isn't in a listening mood as Puck, Titania and Creel attack Hulk, despite McGee asking them to stop.

    Quote:
Leader/Rick ensures Hulk sees Jackie getting shoved by Titania and Hulk gets angry and smashes Creel forcing Titania to attack him

    Quote:
Samson thinks Hulks anger is infecting everyone

    Quote:
To save her Creel literally becomes Gamma and Leader/Rick smiles

It was an impressive double spread at a glance. The 3 panels definitely helped from it being gratuitous pagewaste as only a big sloppy-ish double splash. Mostly because it was a bit unclear. Is he gas or solid? How humongous is he with nothing in the landscape to compare? Is that a mountain range at he is dwarfing at his feet? Why does it look like he has mountain rock for feet? Is he outside the city now? Did he absorb all the infectious gamma? Yeah, yeah, we gotta wait 30 days. Still, a bit more context would've given something to chew on.

Samson arrives at the lab in time for Del Frye to kill a scientist and attempt escape

It felt like Dr. McGowan had some sort of ulterior motive the way she had Samson do her legwork. If not, that whole scene to carry a flashdrive from one panel to another ends up being a bit stretched and pedantic.

    End of issue

Erwin's death was horrifically creepy on par with other visuals we've seen in this run. In an effective way.

    Quote:
So the story moves at an interesting pace,

The whole run is going far too slow but as a chaptered issue this was a solid and good one mostly for the strong big fight offered. The tilting panels really added to the intensity of the clash.

    Quote:
next issue should be good to see Savage Hulk vs Gamma-Creel, while Samson has to handle Del Frye, also the synopsis for next issue mentions.....A Red Door?

Sounds good. Wish there were more Ewing Easter Eggs this ish (unless they went over my head).

Also the inner cover is a tribute to Denny O-Neil

The main talking point, for me, comes from the Letters Page reply by Mr.Ewing. When he says we learned (although it got past me) that the cosmic knowledge that the Leader gained was of a "DARK FUTURE SENT BACK FROM THE NEXT UNIVERSE TO OUR PRESENT" - is he saying from Cosmos/Universe #9 to our current Cosmos/Universe #8. That doesn't sound right? A divergent timeline should not equal a whole guaranteed inevitable Secret Wars Crisi-Level Reboot. Could it? Should it?

Support Cancer Research and Alzheimer Research and COVID research.

No some of the town folk were fried.

Also we get the classic trope of people trying to attack Hulk, when Savage again wants to be left alone until they make him too angry.

Really hoping that at the end of this we see Banner unite all his personalities into one for awhile:

Banner, Grey, Savage/Classic, plus Green Scar, plus Devil.

Although......such a combo could be the Maestro....
