Mark Evanier along with Will Meugniot, Dan Spiegle, and other talents brought out one of the more compelling little universes for Eclipse back in the 80's. The DNAgents are a dang good little comic book with outstanding characterization and quality storytelling. These are comics that are at once fun and about something too.

And even better perhaps is Crossfire. Jay Endicott is one of the great comics creations and among the most underrated. Evanier and Spiegle created an everyman, a guy who is believably heroic but also very flawed and interesting.

I'd buy new DNAgent material, but I'd love to see more Crossfire by Evanier and Spiegle. At the very least they need some good reprint volumes out there. There was a scuttled attempt some years back, but I only ever saw the DNAgents volume though I assume the Crossfire is out there somewhere. Did anyone actually see this volume?

I've never seen one but I wasn't looking. Apparently there are two volumes. Volume one is still available at Amazon but Volume two is sold out and out of print on all the book sites online.
