Malcolm is Dragon's SON, his mother was the hot electric chick Rapture (dead now) His 'Sister' is really a step sister, Dragon married her Mom (Dart?) She's not around anymore either.

Malcolm had a combo of his Father and Mother's powers but a recent incident stole the Electric powers away.

Dragon himself it turned out was a vile and despicable nasty murderous monster known as Emperor Kurr before he mysteriously appeared in SD #1. His people wiped his mind clean and gave him what he had for a memory when he was dumped on Earth. Kurr's personality emerged and let's just say Yada Yadda Yadda, Malcom's old man is in Prison for life now even though the personality was squashed for good. AND his powers are gone for good too.

So Malcolm has taken over as the titular character now. This is a ferociously fun book that goes from comical to heartbreaking and dark in a panel. One of my absolute favorites.

Dragon married Jennifer whom I believe had the heroic name of Smasher. She had a daughter named Angel. Long story short with alternate timelines and such, Dragon ended up with two stepdaughter Angels only one stayed to live with him and the other went out into the universe with Mr. Glum, right?

Angel became Battle Girl and teamed up with Dragon's son Malcolm.

I haven't read the book in a couple of years, last I was reading was when Kurr was making his comeback, didn't know Dragon wound up in the hoosegow. Sounds like I've missed a bit.

Not sure if I'd like a Malcolm book as much as I liked Dragon, I'll have to track down some back issues.
