Sex is always such a controversial topic in any medium. I like what Larsen did with this and I thought he gracefully and intelligently pulled the characters out of it before it got way too gratuitous and, as you say, embarrassing, to read.
I'm glad to see his electrical powers back, too. Enjoyed how Larsen figured out a way to bring them back in typical comic book form that makes sense. Malcom is proving to be a great character carrying on the tradition of his Dad while being his own person. All of this without being too convoluted and intricate for a monthly title. I do so enjoy this book and have since its very first issue!

I am just getting started on this series, but so far, it is quite excellent. It has all the elements of a mature comic. Violance, sex, etc. To be honest, I wish more mainstream comics were this gritty.

The art is good, but there is a slight similarity to the Byrne style. Still, the artist does a good job evoking the classic comic feel and some Kirby elements.

The writing is engaging and fast paced. So far, a nice change from the usual Marvel/DC fare.

Thanks again for the recommendation Grimm!
