From Dark Horse I've been enjoying Joe Golem. I've heard its from the Dreaming City novels which I will have to look into as I like the characters, the mood and the mystery of everything Mignola, Golden, and artist Patric Reynolds are bringing to the book. Reynolds storytelling ability is impressive. Especially with the detail he gives to facial expressions! Really brings the characters to life. Its only a five issue limited series but I hope they bring it back with all new stories soon. With Avatar, God is Dead is wrapping up this series and I've been with it from the beginning. Have discussed why in other threads on this page. I really like Keiron Gillen's Mercury Heat. X-O Manowar is great from Valiant. I've been enjoying many different titles from that company's universe. Great characters, great stories; I really hope this publisher gains more and more momentum. The books are so accessible to new readers and its easy to track down past stories in TPB as its a relatively new super hero universe. Can't recommend them enough! IT'S PONDERRIN' TIME | |||||||
