Finally took your advice and picked up Earp. That was a fun ride, as noted plenty of action but enough background and character development to whet the appetite. Picked it up through Comixology and saw there was an original series which had a goddess like buxom Wynona in half shirts and shiny leather pants from the same writer. Although it had some striking black and white art I think I'll stick to this new iteration for now. Maybe if the tv show spurs a sale on those 2 collected editions..

Another good read as the characters progress through the story. One thing I like about it is Wynnona's renegade nature is not coming without consequences. In the first issue, two agents were killed and I thought it a stretch that Earp was responsible. In the second issue, when she disobey's orders and goes her own route in pursuit of the demons, good agents do die when they did not stick to the plan. And, this one is on her entirely. I expect there will be pretty strong ramifications in issue three.
