My local comics shop decided to carry Captain Canuck, the ongoing series about a Canadian superhero, published by the Canadian company, Chapterhouse Comics. I decided to give Captain Canuck a try, and liked it. It reads like a decompressed Golden Age comic. None of the Silver Age Marvel angst. None of the Silver Age DC silliness. None of the modern Marvel cynicism. None of the modern DC lack of discernible direction. Just a straightforward super-agent protecting his native land from hidden and unhidden threats. Anybody else reading this?

I havnt read captain canuck yet, but I did pick up the Fifth planet and it was pretty cool. definitely worth it and I cant wait for the second issue. I might give captain or northgaurd a try. But I recommend the fifth planet
