Has anyone made the switch to mostly Independents? I have, as of this week. The last straw was my realization that, as far as I'm concerned, both Gwenpool and Deadpool have jumped the shark, and Batman has committed the sin of being sleep-inducingly boring.

I'm still buying Black Bolt, Luke Cage because they haven't disappointed me yet. From DC I'm still buying Aquaman, Future Quest, and the Wild Storm. But that's it from the Big 2.

My pull list now says "any" from Alterna and "any" from Titan, the two extremes as far as price, with the former being published on newsprint and sold for under two dollars, the latter being crammed with high quality pages and being sold for six dollars. Plus I'm getting a bunch of random titles I just happen to like, for example Red Dog, Noble, and Keyser Soze.

Definitely a new phase for me. In the case of Alterna and Titan - brand loyalty! I used to have that for Marvel back in the 70s. Not any more by a long shot. But Alterna and Titan have captured my imagination and in very different ways.

Has anyone else made the switch or been haunted by the prospect of doing so?

More than ever before, the amount of Marvel/DC books I buy depends on the number of Indies I buy. However, for better or worse, nothing really satisfies as much as a Marvel book.
