In the movies Tony will employ multiple armors at once, with of course only one of them manned. This effectively turns him into a one-man super-team. Should he employ the army of armors in the comics? Does it make him too powerful?
I prefer for his inventing ability to show a lot more variety than that. Many of the things he does to win battles shouldn't be armor-related at all. Like inventing a nanotech poison and his attacks in armor just being a distraction while it works its way into the villain's system. Or him figuring modifying the phase variance to make the villain's doomsday weapon destroy itself. There should be a real feel that his intellect has depth, and he's not just some one dimensional type who throws armor at every problem.
