Controller launches his plan to corrupt escape and turn the banned players into an army of killers.

Tony knew the Controller was coming since Foom attacked. Does he know about Beth too?

His biological mom is locked in eScape and is meeting Howard and Maria

Tony sends Jo to get Aaron to use his illegal interface to get into eScape and stop the Controller. She pleads with him to be the hero he once was then powers down and collapses in his arms.

Aaron is still behaving like Bender or an ID10T.

Tony Stark, Iron Man 007

Another very good issue. However, the cover makes no sense. Can anyone please explain it?

The colorful and creative panel layout for Controller recruiting made a repetitive prologue less than redundant even though the 2 pages into 1 may've sufficed.

Defeating Arsenal made for a new cyber MOTHERboard mystery and generates concern for a Amanda's fate. Y'know, since Howard was smart enough to make the original Arsenal defense system and his importance in the MU is always growing... maybe Mr.Slott is setting up that Howard found a way to preserve his and/or Maria's brain pattern and somehow eScape has accessed via Motherboard? Whatever the case, the meeting of the moms was a marvelous teaser.

Tony valuing human lives over brand or money was great.

Tony's big red button was great.

Tony looping in Machine Man via Jocasta and then redirecting a reluctant Friday was a great play. Don't worry Tony'll do right by you, Fri.

All the computerspeak was fun. Jocasta's battery life was... interesting. It's a neat handicap but the precident for zero rechargability by a number of energy source means is... debatable. Has she ever run out of juice in an Avengers back issue? Don't worry Aaron'll do right by Iron Man, Jo.

So, the handful of naughty users that Basil recruited are all in the same three(?) places at the cliffhanger? Or are we to read that the big bad recruited a big number of thralls? Scary enough mad plan BUT even local lawmen could take out the V.R. masked shooters and/or Stark could take 'em out in cyberspace (with Machine Man's help). Regardless the number, while an intriguing scheme it hardly seems that bad on a scale of most deadly threats, eh?
