I think I know why Tony has been avoiding Amanda lately. He's secretly tested her DNA and now knows that she is not his biological mother. I thought it was interesting that when Amanda saw Maria in the eScape, Amanda exclaimed.."Oh, #$%&". I think she is hiding something. The red button scene with the Controller also enforces my view that Stark is already 10 steps ahead of Amanda and is aware of her deception (I hope).

It was odd to see Andy question Tony's ethics. Did Andy really expect Tony to let the Controller kill a bunch of people because Stark's computer program didn't want to go inside his armor for an hour or two?

I'm very open-minded, but trading human life to keep a computer program from feeling uncomfortable for a few hours seems strange to me. It's like that time in "2010: The Year We Make Contact" when Bob Balaban's character wanted to stay behind and literally die with the Hal 9000 computer...so he could "comfort" HAL when Jupiter became a star and incinerated both of them (!!).

Those Iron Man-style VR masks the eScape users wear remind me of the creepy masks the kids wore in Halloween III: Season of the Witch.

I enjoyed seeing Tony go into superhero-mode and take charge of the situation when the Controller revealed himself.

Now about that booze in the next issue...

Andy was essentially doing the one life for millions trope.

"You can't sacrifice one to save many!" was what it basically was and it always seems like someone in a story has to be that voice.

As to Friday feeling claustrophobic in the armor, surely Friday can do the math and realize that her brief discomfort is a small sacrifice to save many lives.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jocasta calls Tony out on it later.

As to Amanda, I really DO hope they come up with a SENSIBLE and logical way to end this Tony is not the son of Howard Stark junk. Rather then the Deus Ex machina methods of resolving Crossing and Superior.

Tony was backed up on a hard drive that ended up in the Controller's possession as I recall and the drive was not backed up with a copy of Tony for a few weeks....allegedly. What if the controller tampered with it?

What if this whole Tony is adopted junk is a long con perpetrated by the Controller and Arno, who happens to be a time displaced future Arno?
