I totally agree. The whole scene doesn't make any sense.

If I may add, in my opinion, the interaction between Tony & her isn't believable either.

It is like Marvel is trying to ignore the conséquences of the whole Civil War II event ... except that it cannot be ignored that easily ... It happened in 2016.

I understand that it must be very hard for Kelly Thompson to write the interaction between Carol, Tony & Rhodey... but why did she start her first issue of Captain Marvel by a meeting with them ? Couldn't she have written this meeting later ?

It is like some reset button without further explanation ...
