"When did Adam Strange become a reserve or honorary member?"

I CAN SPEAK only to the pre-Crisis Justice League of America, and, despite a large following who believe to the contrary, one will not find a single pre-Crisis issue of JLA or any other comic which shows or describes Adam Strange as an honorary member of the JLA. It just didn't happen.

"When did Captain Comet?"

Now, that one I can answer. Captain Comet became an honorary member of the JLA in the story "Danger: Dinosaurs at Large", from DC Special # 27 (Apr.-May, 1977)--on page 8, panel 2.

The concept of "reserve JLA members"--which never really made much sense, anyway--did not exist in the pre-Crisis era. There is a "kinda sorta" exception in the case of Metamorpho, who was made a "stand-by member" of the Justice League in "Metamorpho Says--No!", from JLA # 42 (Feb., 1966).

Hope this helps.

I was in that mistaken following. Thanks for the correction Commander. \:\-\)
