I am LOVING the series so far!
If you aren't a fan or knowledgeable of the JLA during the late 70's or throughout the 80's, I could see how this has been a slow start for you. As for me, I love the Red Tornado storyline and the flashback panels from the old Reddy and Amazo stories! I would say be patient through this opening arc, and I bet this series begins to EXPLODE with great characterization, action and tons of twists and turns. Meltzer's subtle hints of upcoming sub-plots and knowledege of DC continuity have me salivating like a true fan-boy! Haha.
Kudos to Meltzer and the AWESOME art team of Benes and Hope. Amazing work!
