I loved this show....it was like a lifetime of waiting for someone to bring to life an intelligent, compelling, and fun show about my favorite heroes...I was sad to see it go but was so glad that it was here for a while...even what I call the "worst" was still great to see and more time on the show would have improved a lot of storylines and chatacters
LEX LUTHOR, METALLO, LOIS LANE, SUPERMAN, and SUPERGIRL were all wonderful characters from Superman's show..the voice actors for them were great even when Newburn took over for Daly....and Clancy Brown was simply awesome..and BATMAN (love Kevin Conroy's voice)and his cast were excellent...the continuing development of those characters was awesome...I think Batman was at his best...he was imposing and frightening but not a complete a-hole...Superman was a boy scout but I loved seeing his anger with Luthor and Darkseid, his reactions to Captain Marvel and the exploration of his relationship with Supergirl...
HAWKGIRL--voice actor was perfect. I love Shayera's character, they made Hawkgirl someone other than Hawkman's wife. I always loved her silver age visual.
JOHN STEWART--I never really cared for the character in the comics but the show made him interesting
FLASH--voice actor was perfect. He was the only lighthearted character on the original team and I loved the humor he injected and how just when you thought he was being totally disrespected he came through with some wonderful character moments.
MARTIAN MANHUNTER--I think if there had been another JLU season J'onn's character would have blossomed more (as would have Hawkman's)
WONDER WOMAN--voice actor was great but at times i was frustrated with her character and then at times I loved her. being partial to the George Perez version, I found her anger-issues troublesome. All in all I think they did a good job though.
QUESTION---without a doubt the most interesting character of the whole show.
HUNTRESS---I love the rough-edge she had. I like that she has grown in the comics but i will always be partial to the rough vigilante version
GREEN ARROW---I felt he was spot-on. what made him great in the comics made him great on the show
BLACK CANARY---loved Morena Baccarin's voice for her, loved how she was a badass brawler
DR. FATE----Kent Nelson and Inza were great. I would have liked to have seen the portrayal of Kent as more weak and needing Inza's strength to always anchor him.
AQUAMAN---the best characterization of him. aloof, heroic, paranoid, and powerful.
The NEW GODS were great but I wanted more from MR. MIRACLE, BIG BARDA and ORION.
The inclusion of and characterizations of STARGIRL, VIGILANTE, SHINING KNIGHT, WILCAT, CAPTAIN MARVEL, BWANNA BEAST, and STRIPE were great.
it was good to see VIXEN, HAKWMAN, BOOSTER GOLD, ATOM, CAPTAIN ATOM, ELONGATED MAN, METAMORPHO, and ZATANNA but would have liked more time with them. they were all pretty much in character but I just wanted more. Would have liked to have seen more of ICE, FIRE, RED TORNADO, MR. TERRIFIC, KYLE RAYNER, DR.LIGHT, STEEL, and ROCKET RED and would have liked to have seen GALATEA become POWER GIRL and be a hero.
AMANDA WALLER was awesome and I even liked the GENERAL.
GORILLA GRODD, ULTRA-HUMANITE, TOYMAN, SHADE, SOLOMON GRUNDY, FELIX FAUST, TALA (who I never knew from the Phantom Stranger series), MORGAN LE FEY, DARKSEID and his crew, and GIGANTA were great.
The ULTIMEN were a fantastic adaptation of the Superfriends (but where were the analogs of Rima, Gleek, and El Dorado? LOL)
I wanted more from STAR SAPPHIRE, SINESTRO, and ROULETTE.
where were FIRESTORM, BLUE BEETLE, GUY GARDNER, PHANTOM STRANGER, ADAM STRANGE, and BLACK LIGHTNING? and ZOOM, DR. LIGHT, DR. PSYCHO, SILVER SWAN, FATALITY?
CHEETAH---the Perez era revision of the Cheetah is the best. A powerful and feral beast. The show made her kind of soft.
AMAZO--would have wanted the classic look but the character development was interesting
DR. POLARIS--I would have preferred the power-mad schizo
PROFESSOR IVO--would have liked to have seen him go up against the league with RED TORNADO or even TOMORROW WOMAN to betray him.
HADES--he was more like ARES than HADES
KILLER FROST---I liked her as the "Miss Havesham" of super-villians in the comics, they made her a killer but she was a little more like LIVEWIRE than the original comics version of Killer Frost
It would have been cool to have DR. CYBER go up against WONDER WOMAN and QUEEN BEE's swarm to attack
anyway it was a great show. I am sad to see it go but all in all it was fantastic!
